I work with clients across the lifespan, from ages 6 through late adulthood, and I value meeting people where they are in their story. My approach is warm, direct, and solution-focused, with an emphasis on helping clients gain clarity, build practical skills, and reconnect with meaning and purpose in their lives. I have a particular understanding of the unique stressors that can come with law enforcement and public safety families. I often integrate trauma-informed care and EMDR-informed approaches when appropriate to support clients in processing difficult experiences and moving toward healing and growth. I also enjoy working with individuals, children, and families navigating relational and systemic challenges, including divorce, blended family dynamics, and step-parenting. At the core of my work is a genuine interest in people’s life stories and a desire to partner with clients as they work toward healing, growth, and reaching their full potential.
I earned my Master’s in Public Safety Executive Leadership from St. Cloud State University after having started a career in law enforcement. I obtained a Master’s Certificate in Addictions and worked as an alcohol and drug counselor before returning to work within the criminal justice system as a probation agent, where I gained experience supporting individuals and families navigating system involvement. I am currently in my PsyD doctorate program at St. Mary’s University and completing my Psychology Predoctoral Internship at Soul Work Counseling. I have experience working with children and adults struggling with anger, anxiety, depression, PTSD, substance use disorders, peer relationship difficulties, and trauma-related concerns. I use humor and my passion for helping others to build strong, trusting relationships with my clients.
