Valerie Koski, LICSW

Are you feeling stuck, overwhelmed, or unsure how to move forward? I believe positive change is possible, and you don’t have to navigate life’s challenges alone. I’ve spent many years helping people work through difficult experiences and create a life that feels healthier and more fulfilling.
My approach starts with listening and understanding where you are today, then working together to identify where you want to go and what may be getting in the way. I use a variety of evidence-based approaches with children, adults, couples, and families, tailoring therapy to each person’s unique needs.
With children, I often use play therapy to help them express and process what they’re experiencing. Art therapy can help both children and adults explore emotions, trauma, and thoughts that may be difficult to put into words. I also use strength-based tools and psychoeducation to support individuals with ADHD.
I have particular experience in spiritual abuse, codependency, and recovery from abuse. I’m also a certified brain health coach and can incorporate Christian counseling for those who would like their faith to be part of the counseling process.
Outside of counseling, I enjoy reading, traveling, being outdoors, and spending time with my family. Most importantly, I want my clients to feel heard, understood, and supported as they take steps toward meaningful change.
Sincerely,
Valerie
